Finding Genealogy Information with ANCESTRY PLUSThe Clearwater Public Library and the Pinellas Public Library Cooperative offer Ancestry Plus to registered library patrons as a way to search for genealogical information. Available only in the Library ACCESSING ANCESTRY PLUSClick here to access Ancestry Plus You must be at a library branch in order to access the database. At the next screen, click on Proceed. The main page of Ancestry Plus will appear.
After you enter a name, you will be prompted for more details on the next screen:
When you click on the Search button you will be given a list of results:
Clicking on one of the names will open to a new page with additional information and a picture file of the original census form:
PASSENGER AND IMMIGRATION LISTSAnother useful tool for searching for your ancestors is to use passenger and immigration lists. You can access them from the main page, and then get a search form:
MILITARY RECORDSAlso from the main page, you can access military records; there are both more general databases and ones that are very specific to a range of dates or location.
BIRTH, MARRIAGE & DEATH INDEXFrom the main page, you can access the Social Security Death Index, which contains almost 72,000,000 names
ADDITIONAL RESOURCESAncestry Plus has an extensive collection of articles that give tips and advice on how to conduct genealogical research. You can access them by clicking on the link to the Library at the top of the main page.

ANCESTRY WORLD TREEUnder Community, there is a link to an interesting project, the Ancestry World Tree. It has over 200 million entries, submitted by users of Ancestry Plus.
