CUSTODIAL WORKER -- $18,872 - $28,990
Ability to understand and comply with oral and written instructions.
FIREFIGHTER/EMT -- $37,111 – $55,143
FIRE MEDIC -- $44,533 – $66,172
Qualifications: Possession of valid State of Florida Firefighter Certification, Emergency Medical Technician Certification; driver’s license, at least 18 years of age and may not use any form of tobacco products. STUDENT INTERNS -- $8.00 - $12.00 per hr
The Intern Program provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn more about City Government and municipal issues and to interact with others involved in neighborhood and community matters.
POLICE AIDES/SCHOOL CROSSING GUARDS -- $10.00 per hr
High School graduate or G.E.D., minimum of 19 years of age, and possession of a valid State of Florida driver’s license. Training is provided by the Clearwater Police Department and must be completed successfully.
POLICE OFFICER -- $44,471 - $65,860

WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT / WATER PLANT OPERATORS
Specialized shift work in operating and maintaining a wastewater treatment plant, equipment and grounds or in operating and maintaining potable water pumping and treatment facilities; Qualifications: possession of a Water Treatment Plant Operator or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator license. Operator C: $30,809 - $46,270 Operator B: $32,400 - $48,544 Operator A: $33,878 - $50,931
The salary range reflects only the minimum
and maximum pay for the job. Generally, the City employs applicants at
the entry step of the salary range noted above. In accordance with City
policy, an employee who is promoted to a higher position will receive
a promotional pay increase.
