Fire Suppression Bureau

Suppression's primary tasks are to expeditiously rescue, locate a fire, confine it to the point of origin, extinguish it, salvage undamaged property, and overhaul the fire to prevent rekindle. Additionally, we respond to hazardous materials conditions to stabilize the incident with help from the Pinellas County Hazardous Materials Team. The Department's Special Operations personnel are trained in many tactics to support the various types of emergency incidents.
