Operations Division
Clearwater's community is served from eight fire station locations,
each station having an engine company and six of the stations support
an ALS rescue unit.
The department is a full-service department, which supplies fire prevention
and suppression, advanced life support (ALS) rescue response, water rescue
(including public safety divers) and technical rescue for confined space
and high angle rescue situations. In addition to the basic engine and
rescue companies, the Department also responds with two aerial units
and one squad/heavy rescue/air supply unit.
Fire Operations provides the vital services required for protecting
the lives and property of the residents within the entire City Fire District.
There are more than 180 certified line personnel who provide suppression
and emergency medical services to citizens. In addition to managing day-to-day
fire operations and medical services, the Operations Division also tests
fire hydrants, inspects the fire equipment and apparatus, and oversees
that facilities are maintained for safety and living space. |
