Adopt-a-Park

Adopt-a-Park

Is your organization or business looking for a way to get involved in your community?
Do your members or employees like to work outside for a change of scenery?
Why not adopt a park with the City of Clearwater?

Adopt-a-park imageWhat is Adopt-a-Park?

Adopt-a-Park is a volunteer program where the Clearwater Parks and Recreation Department partners with local organizations to help keep our city safe, clean and beautiful. The City of Clearwater boasts over 50 community parks that require a tremendous amount of resources to maintain and consistently improve. To assist in helping to maintain the high standards our residents and visitors expect, we are inviting the community’s participation. Your assistance will help our environment, our community and your quality of life.

Who can Adopt-a-Park?

Any Clearwater affiliated community organization that registers with the Department and completes a contract may Adopt-a-Park. We welcome businesses, churches, schools, neighborhood associations, civic groups, clubs and other service related organizations.

If your organization or group is interested please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 727-562-4803 or by e-mail at Karen.Maldonado@myclearwater.com. We will review the expectations for both the Department and the organization. You will then be asked to choose a park from the list provided by the Department. After a location is chosen a contract will be signed between the two parties and the fun begins.
