Aquatics
Swimming is one of the most widely enjoyed recreational activities nation wide.
The sport can be enjoyed by a wide spectrum of the population from infants to senior citizens.
There are many different reasons that people swim. These include fitness, water safety, play,
or just a relaxing way to cool off during the hot summer. Many people with physical
limitations can perform well in the water. The goal of the Parks and Recreation Department is
to offer aquatic programs that will meet the needs of swimmers, whether a novice or one who
has world record dreams.
City Pools
All children under the age of 8 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
To prevent disease transmission, persons needing diapers must wear tight fitting waterproof
pants or a non-disposable swimsuit diaper. Elasticized waist and legs are required for both.
