Shuffleboard
Shuffleboard is a fun and entertaining activity for everyone. Participants learn
hand eye coordination, the use of strategies, and sportsmanship.
Shuffleboard is played on a court six feet wide by thirty-nine feet long. Each team or
player has four colored discs made of plastic and a cue. Typically, the discs are two
colors, yellow and black. The cue is a six-foot long stick with a fork at one end that
is used to push the discs to the scoring area at the opposite end of the court. Beads
can also be found in this sport; they are glass or plastic and are used to help the discs
move better. The object of the game is to place more discs in the scoring area than
your opponent.
