Ongoing Construction Efforts

Druid Trail

The Druid Trail will be a four-mile multiple use section along the Druid Road right-of-way connecting the future Progress Energy Trail and the existing Pinellas Trail. This section connects residential areas, Clearwater High School and the former Glen Oaks Golf Course. The section will also offer an alternative to access retail along Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard. The engineering phase of Druid Trail is underway, and is expected to be complete by summer 2009. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2008.

Memorial Causeway

The Memorial Causeway section will connect downtown Clearwater at the Pinellas Trail to Clearwater Beach. This section consists of a multiple use path with two signature bridges. It is estimated that approximately 15,000 people a week will enjoy this connection after it is complete.
