Department Overview

Wastewater Environmental Technologies consists of two major departments: Water Reclamation Facility Operations, and the Industrial Pretreatment Program.

The Water Reclamation Facility Operations group operates three advanced water reclamation facilities. And three reclaimed water booster pumping and/or storage facilities. The Industrial Pretreatment Program (IPP) group is responsible for sampling, monitoring, and regulating City industrial users and enforcing the City's Industrial Pretreatment Ordinance. The IPP group has also been tasked with implementation and operation of a grease management program to curtail the introduction of grease waste into the sanitary sewer and treatment facilities.
