Did you know that Americans use about 392 cans per person per year? Did you know that by recycling just one of those aluminum cans you could save enough electricity to run a TV for three hours?
The City of Clearwater’s Solid Waste Recycling Division services more
than 56,000 homes, multi-family residences and businesses in Clearwater
and Belleair. In addition, there are 30 recycling routes that get picked
up once a week in your area.
These are just some of the tips you can learn about the importance of
recycling through the City of Clearwater Solid Waste’s FREE educational
outreach program.
Through an age-appropriate presentation, we will come to your school
or organization to cover the basics of recycling, including: What is recycling?
Why should we recycle? What items can be recycled? What happens to items
after they’re recycled?
If you would like to get involved in this worthwhile educational opportunity,
please call 727-562-4933.
Meetings are scheduled according to staff availability.
