The city of Clearwater will celebrate America’s 240th birthday by hosting the largest fireworks show in the Tampa Bay area on Monday, July 4 at downtown’s Coachman Park. The community is invited to attend this free event and enjoy items and food from local vendors, as well as family-friendly games and activities. Live music by Nashville recording artist and Dunedin’s own Aubrey Wollett, Clearwater’s own The Ries Brothers and a performance by The Coachman Park Pops Orchestra featuring The Wilsons will also entertain guests throughout the evening. The night’s biggest attraction will be the Clearwater Gas “Spark the Sky” fireworks display. Gates open at 4 p.m. and the stunning fireworks show will begin approximately at 9:30 p.m.


Pitch for Pink

On Friday, July 22nd the Clearwater Threshers will present the 11th Annual Pitch for Pink Breast Cancer event at Bright House Field. Autographed pink game jerseys worn by Threshers players, autographed pink bats, gift certificates, spa packages and more will be auctioned off to benefit breast health services and programs at Morton Plant Mease. The first 1,000 women will receive a pink tumbler giveaway. The game starts at 6:15 p.m. The post game concert will feature The Titans of Rock, a Bon Jovi/Journey Tribute Band.
