11/18/2009 - New Signs Installed at Glen Oaks Park

With help from volunteers representing McKim & Creed, P.A., the Clearwater Parks and Recreation Department will install new educational signs at Glen Oaks Park, 1345 Court St., on Saturday, Nov. 21. Included are ten, full-color signs explaining park history, watersheds, and the identification of native and invasive flora and fauna found at the park. more

11/17/2009 - Upcoming Road Closures

Please be advised of the following road closures:

- East Avenue from Cleveland Street to Franklin Street will be closed to northbound traffic from Nov. 18 to 20.

- The intersection of Lakeview Road and South Madison Avenue will be closed to traffic Nov. 17 and 18.

- Lakeview Road from Ewing to Martin Luther King Jr. avenues will be closed to traffic Nov. 19 to Dec. 4. more

11/16/2009 - Reclaiming the Future of Our Water

Clearwater is reclaiming our future by providing reclaimed water to residents throughout city boundaries. Current reclaimed water projects already under construction include those in the Morningside, Skycrest, Lake Chautauqua, and Coachman Ridge areas. Residents in the Clearwater Harbor and Glen Oaks/Palmetto regions of the city can expect to get reclaimed water soon, as these projects are already in the design phase. more

Lane and road closures will start at 5 a.m. throughout the county. Clearwater Beach road closures will begin at 3 a.m., and drivers will not be permitted to travel south of the roundabout due to closures on Coronado Drive and South Gulfview Boulevard. more

Eastbound traffic can use Tioga Avenue and South Street as alternate routes. Westbound traffic can use South Michigan Avenue and South Street as detours.
