ROAD & INTERSECTION CLOSURES ASSOCIATED W/ HILLCREST TRAFFIC CALMING & STORMWATER PROJECT

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Work on the Hillcrest Traffic Calming and Stormwater Project begins this week. The first area of construction will be along St. Thomas Drive from Betty Lane to Hillcrest Avenue, and the contractor will close the Frederica and Evergreen intersections. The following road and intersection closures are associated with this project:

• St. Thomas Drive from Hillcrest Avenue to Betty Lane will be closed starting Tuesday, March 5 to April 26. Bellevue Road or Howard Street can be used as a detour routes.

• The intersection of Hillcrest Avenue and St. Thomas Drive will be closed to traffic beginning April 29 to May 31. Traffic can use detour routes of St. Thomas and Rose Streets to Sunny Park Drive and Evergreen Avenue.

The major items of work to be completed in these areas include upgrades to the stormwater system and the construction of the roundabouts at the Frederica, Evergreen, and Hillcrest intersections.
