Upcoming Road & Lane Closures in Clearwater

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- The following road and lane closures will take place in the City of Clearwater:

TODAY & TOMORROW, OCT. 17 & 18

The eastbound inside lane of the Memorial Causeway east of Bridge 43 to west of the Big Bridge will be under construction today and tomorrow, Oct. 17 and 18, so that 17 trees can be planted. Please use caution along this route.

NOW THROUGH WEDNESDAY, OCT. 23

Palmetto Street at Pennsylvania Avenue is currently closed to traffic, now through Wednesday, Oct. 23, due to installation of a water pipe. Metto Street can be used as a detour route.

MONDAY, OCT. 21

The Florida Department of Transportation will close the southbound left-turn lane and thru-lane of U.S. Highway 19 at Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard starting at 9 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21 to 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, Oct. 22, due to construction related to replacing the overpass. Allow extra time traveling this route, or take McMullen Booth or Belcher roads instead.

THURSDAY, OCT. 24 TO MONDAY, OCT. 27

Baymont Street from Mandalay to Poinsettia avenues will be closed to traffic Thursday to Monday, Oct. 24 to 27 due to Frenchy's block party event. Papaya Street can be used as a detour route.

FRIDAY, OCT. 25

On Friday, Oct. 25, Cleveland Street from Osceola to South Fort Harrison avenues will close to traffic Friday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. through midnight for the Blast Friday street festival. Pierce Street can be used as a detour route.

MONDAY, OCT. 28 TO MONDAY, NOV. 4

Cleveland Street from Osceola Avenue to the waterfront and the Drew Street extension will close to traffic Monday, Oct. 28 through Monday, Nov. 4 due to the World Rescue Challenge. Park Street can be used as a detour route.

SUNDAY, NOV. 2

The westbound curb lane of the Memorial Causeway Bridge at the bridge's highest point will be closed for approximately 30 minutes at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2. The World Rescue Challenge will be demonstrating a technical rescue as part of its event schedule. Please use caution along the bridge at this time.
