Clearwater to Host Seafood and Blues Festival

Clearwater will host the Inaugural Knology Clearwater Sea-Blues Festival on February 24-25, 2007. The festival will be held at Coachman Park, 301 Drew Street. Admission is free.

Clearwater is known for many diverse Music and Special Events. Terry Schmidt of Clearwater Parks and Recreation explains the event, “…as we looked at what events we offer on an annual basis we saw that one musical style was missing, The Blues, that coupled with our desire to add a SEAFOOD FESTIVAL is a great addition to our annual schedule. We have found that music and food are the two main components of a successful event, and our proximity to the Gulf of Mexico, "The KNOLOGY CLEARWATER SEA-BLUES FESTIVAL" was born.”

The two-day event will offer world-class blues musicians and a wide assortment of the finest cuisine from the gulf coast including jumbo shrimp, crab cakes, oysters, lobster, blackened grouper, seafood gumbo and more.

Musicians to be featured throughout the weekend include, Johnny Winter, Coco Montoya and Chris Beard on Saturday, February 24 and Eric Sardinas, Eric Lindell and Tinsley Ellis on Sunday, February 25. For more information contact (727) 562-4839.
