The City of Clearwater Needs Your Help to Clean Up Abandoned Homeless Camp

CLEARWATER, Fla. The City of Clearwater Parks and Recreation Department is looking for more than 30 volunteers interested in helping clean up an abandoned homeless camp on Saturday, Aug. 24. The project will begin at 8 a.m. and last until 3 p.m.

The area being cleaned is located near the corner of U.S. 19 and State Road 590, in a wooded area of city property. Parking will be available at the Super 8 Motel, located at 22950 U.S. 19, Clearwater.

Long pants and close-toed shoes, or work boots if you have them, are required. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old.
