Meet the Candidates for City Council

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater residents are invited to attend the 2014 Candidates Forum at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13. Candidates for Council seats 4 and 5 will discuss the issues facing Clearwater and its residents in Council Chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 112 South Osceola Ave.

Al Ruechel, Senior Anchor with Bay News 9, will moderate the discussion. Voters go to the polls on Tuesday, March 11 to determine who will fill the two Council Seats. Candidates for Seat 4 are Bill Jonson (incumbent), David Allbritton, and Konrad McCree, Jr. Candidates for Seat 5 are Hoyt Hamilton and Jon Paul Rosa.

For more information on the slate of candidates and a sample ballot, call or stop by Official Records & Legislative Services located on the second floor of City Hall, (727) 562-4093. To request an absentee ballot, call the Supervisor of Elections at (727) 464-6788. The Supervisor of Elections must receive absentee ballots by 7 p.m. on Election Day.

If you’re unable to attend, you can view the Candidates Forum live on C-VIEW TV or by logging onto and clicking on the “live meeting” link. The Candidates Forum will also be replayed on C-VIEW TV through Election Day and archived on the streaming video link for you to watch at your convenience.
