Clearwater Vies for USA Today’s Best Beach

Vote Online or Tweet Your Support for Local Favorite in Media Giant’s Poll

CLEARWATER, Fla. – World-famous Clearwater Beach needs its fans, locally and worldwide, to vote for it in USA Today Travel’s Best Florida beach destination.

Clearwater is up against nine other Florida beaches for the media giant’s top billing in the Sunshine State. Fans can vote in an online poll or tweet @USATodayTravel with “Clearwater” and #FLABeachTown.

Clearwater Beach is the home of the famous “Winter” the dolphin from Dolphin Tale and Sunsets at Pier 60, and has received numerous accolades over the years.

The ten Florida destinations competing were chosen by “Dr. Beach”—Florida International University professor and coastal expert Stephen P. Leatherman, who has named both Fort De Soto and Caladesi Island #1 on his Best Beaches list in years past. The winning destination will get a feature in USA Today Travel.
