Clearwater Regional Chamber Names Gas System as Large Business of the Year

CLEARWATER, Fla. – On Wednesday, February 6th, the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce named Clearwater Gas System as the 2013 Large Business of the Year during their Chamber’s 91st Annual Meeting at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort.

The sold-out event honored businesses and individuals in the community with the 2013 Business of the Year Awards, Tourism Person of the Year, Ambassador of the Year, Phillies All Star in the Community, The Inaugural DaVinci Young Professional of the Year Award, and the prestigious Mr. /Ms. Clearwater.

During the evening, Clearwater Gas System was honored in two big categories: 2013 Large Business of the Year and the Phillies All Star in the Community award that the Chamber presented to Chuck Warrington, Clearwater Gas System’s Managing Director. Last month, the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce also recognized Clearwater Gas System as the Large Business of the Year.

Clearwater Gas System, a municipally-owned gas utility, has provided safe, clean, economical and reliable gas energy to residents and businesses in our growing service area since 1923. Clearwater Gas System is the fourth largest municipal gas system in Florida and ranks 34th out of nearly 1,000 public gas systems in the United States.
