Clearwater Police Add Another Murder Charge To Suspect

Clearwater Police detectives have added another murder charge for Myron Farley.

Farley had been charged Sept. 20 with the shootings of two homeless men in Tarpon Springs that occurred last month. Tarpon Springs police had filed one count of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder against him last week.

Late this morning, detectives charged Farley in the slaying of a homeless man in Clearwater whose body was found on Sept. 16.

Forensic evidence has linked Farley to the Tarpon Springs shooting as well as the Clearwater shooting. A search warrant conducted at Farley's residence on Sept. 20 led to the recovery of a 9 mm handgun that matched evidence at both crime scenes.

John Austin Lloyd, 60, was found dead outside an abandoned gas station at 1840 Gulf-to-Bay Blvd. in the Clearwater case.

Farley, 32, of 2025 Rogers St., Apt. 103, remains in the Pinellas County Jail without bond.
