FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Oct. 29, 2012 Contact: Sandy Clayton (727) 793-2339, ext. 248 Halloween Candy Sweet Swap to Benefit Troops Overseas CLEARWATER, Fla. – On Thursday and Friday, Nov. 1 and 2, trick-or-treaters can bring their cavity-provoking candy to the Long Center, 1501. N. Belcher Rd., between the hours of 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Those ages 17 and under who bring in their candy will get a prize from the pumpkin prize box and a chance to win prizes such as a new bike, a Play Pass, or sports prize packages. Each pound of candy turned in earns an entry into the drawing. An extra entry can be earned by bringing in a thank you letter to U.S. servicemen who are overseas. All candy collected will be sent to the troops through Operation Gratitude. The Sweet Swap is being held in cooperation with Prior Cosmetic & Family Dentistry in Clearwater who will arrange for delivery of the collected candy.
