CLEARWATER, Fla. --- While parents may have the day off from work for Thanksgiving and possibly the day after, Pinellas County school kids will have the entire week off from school. One way to keep the kids busy during the break is through the City of Clearwater’s Thanksgiving Camp. Four of the City’s recreation centers offer affordable 3-day camps at $45 with a Play Pass, $60 with a Clearwater recreation card, and $75 for non-cardholders.

Swimming is on tap for campers at the Long Center, 1501 North Belcher Road, as well as a field trip to a local skating rink, participating in a host of games, sports and activities as well as interacting with other kids.

At the Countryside Recreation Center 2640, Sabal Springs Drive, kids will come home ready for a nap! An array of active games, team building exercises and a pre-Thanksgiving feast are all on the agenda.

Campers at the Ross Norton Recreation, Aquatic Complex & Extreme Sports Park, 1426 S. MLK, Jr. Ave., will participate in holiday-themed arts and crafts and activities, as well as games, sports and use of the skate park. Campers will have the opportunity to socialize with friends while having fun with scheduled activities.

NEW! This will be the first Thanksgiving Camp offered at the North Greenwood Recreation & Aquatic Complex, 900 N. MLK, Jr., Ave. Camp counselors have an array of activities all set to make this an exciting holiday camp launch with interactive games, several art projects, and activities to both stimulate the muscles and the mind. The kids will thoroughly enjoy this new camp

Camps run from November 25 to 27. Clearwater residents with children on free or reduced lunch program may be eligible for discounted rates. Space is limited. Please call the recreation center of interest for further details.
