Pay Your Utility Bill by Phone
The City of Clearwater now allows utility bill payment by phone, using
an automated menu system.
Usage Agreement for Bill Payment by Phone
Western Union Speedpay
processes all City of Clearwater phone utility payments. Western Union Speedpay
is an independent company under contract with the City of Clearwater to
provide phone payment processing services.
NOTE: Phone payments made after 3:30 PM EST will be processed
the NEXT BUSINESS DAY.
Convenience Fee
Western Union Speedpay will charge a $2.45 convenience fee to your
credit or debit card account or your banking account for each transaction up to $800.00. This charge will appear
in addition to your utility bill payment. The convenience fee is paid
directly to Western Union Speedpay, NOT to the City of Clearwater. Remember, this
is an optional service.
If you do not wish to pay the $2.45 convenience fee, you may pay your
bill using mail or our walk/drive-in services. You may also pay your bill
automatically each month via direct
debit with no convenience fee. Visit our Payment
Options pages for more information on the various ways you can pay
your utility bill.
Disconnected or Interrupted Service
If your service has been interrupted or is in danger of being disconnected
for non-payment, you may still pay your bill by phone. Note, however,
that after your payment is processed, you will need to contact Clearwater
Customer Service at (727) 562-4600 during regular business hours (M-F,
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) to arrange reconnection of service.
